Please advice on things to look out when you're doing a stud service

Hi all,

I'm planning to offer stud services soon, I have read quite a lot about the subject. However I want to know more about the business side of this. Please advice.

Thanks in advance,

Are your dogs first prize winners, KASL registered or champions.

Only offer your dogs at stud if they have all of the above 3.

You must offer tghe best dogs for stud only only if you want to do the right thing. Just dogs really do more harm than good. You must import champion dogs whom carry good genes and quality.

I have a beautiful Doberman who is obedient and has very good features. He's just turning 18 months. BKC registered, but he's not won a price yet.

He's such a good dog and I want to get a litter, not interested in a serious stud service. However, I've known the breed for some time and this is the best I've ever had.

I have seen people complaining about all sorts of problems with regard to studding, I'll appreciate your advice on how to avoid such mess ups.
