Training for new season November 2013 to April 2014
Out of the 17 racing Homers trained last season I am left with 15. Lost two but all balance 15 have come from Jaffna
The Distance (line of sight)(as the crow flies) between Wattala (Western Province) and Point Pedro (Eastern Province) is 318 km (198 miles).
The approximate travel/road distance is around 366km (227 miles) to 397km (247 miles).
This new season starting in November, I expect to train some young ones along with these 15 birds. A total of around 30.
The tosses will commence from Negombo early November(Weather permitting) and continue every 2 weeks Chillow, Putalam, Pahala Maraghawewa, Anuradhapura, Vavuniya, Elephant Pass, Jaffna and Pt. Pedro the longest point towards the North of Sri Lanka.
I plan to take the birds in my pick-up truck and welcome any one willing to train along with me. I will inform the day the cab will leave, well on time so that anyone can join en-route. My cab can take only two others beside me. Any enthusiasts are welcome.
If anyone from the South of Colombo wish to join I can send the cab as far as Colombo bus stand to start.

Below clips will show you some of the releases made by my runner in April 2013 and April 2012.
